City government provides and oversees services that residents interact with every day.

I believe those services should be:

Accessible. Efficient. Reliable. Measurable. Accountable.

Council should regularly evaluate whether municipal programs and services are achieving their intended results.

That means looking beyond announcements and asking whether the service is actually working for the people who depend on it.

Where appropriate, the City should also explore partnerships, efficiencies and new approaches to service delivery without compromising quality or accountability.

A councilor's responsibility is not simply to vote at Council meetings.

Council members are responsible for considering the well-being and interests of the municipality and contributing to the development and evaluation of municipal policies and services. 

I believe residents should be able to:

• Understand how decisions are made

• Access information easily

• Raise concerns

• Ask questions

• Understand how their tax dollars are being used

• See whether Council decisions are producing results

I will strive to communicate clearly, listen to different perspectives and make decisions based on the long-term interests of Chilliwack.
