EVERY TAX DOLLAR SHOULD COUNT
Property taxes are a significant expense for homeowners and businesses.
Residents deserve quality municipal services, but they also deserve responsible financial management.
Council should continually ask:
What does this service cost?
What value does it provide?
Can it be delivered more efficiently?
Is the investment sustainable over the long term?
Are we maintaining existing assets before creating unnecessary new costs?
Are tax increases justified by community needs?
Are major projects being evaluated against clear costs and benefits?
I do not believe responsible government means simply cutting services or simply spending more. It means finding the right balance between quality services, affordability, responsible investment and long-term financial sustainability.
