EVERY TAX DOLLAR SHOULD COUNT

Property taxes are a significant expense for homeowners and businesses.

Residents deserve quality municipal services, but they also deserve responsible financial management.

Council should continually ask:

  • What does this service cost?

  • What value does it provide?

  • Can it be delivered more efficiently?

  • Is the investment sustainable over the long term?

  • Are we maintaining existing assets before creating unnecessary new costs?

  • Are tax increases justified by community needs?

  • Are major projects being evaluated against clear costs and benefits?

I do not believe responsible government means simply cutting services or simply spending more. It means finding the right balance between quality services, affordability, responsible investment and long-term financial sustainability.
