Everyone should feel safe where they live, work, shop and spend time.

Municipal government has an important role in maintaining public spaces, enforcing bylaws, supporting community safety initiatives and working with other levels of government and community partners.

My priorities include:

• Safer and better-maintained public spaces

• Improved lighting and visibility where appropriate

• Addressing vandalism, property crime and disorder

• Supporting businesses affected by safety concerns

• Maintaining clean and welcoming downtown and neighbourhood spaces

• Prevention and early intervention

• Stronger collaboration with police, service providers, businesses and community organizations

Safety is fundamental to quality of life and to a healthy local economy.
