KEEPING CHILLIWACK MOVING

Chilliwack is growing. Our infrastructure and transportation needs to grow with it. As neighbourhoods grow, transportation planning should continually evaluate whether routes, schedules and connections are meeting residents' needs.

I will focus on responsible investment in:

  • Roads and intersections

  • Sidewalks and pedestrian connections

  • Bike routes and lanes

  • Public transit connections

  • Drainage and other essential infrastructure

  • Maintenance of existing infrastructure

  • Transportation planning that anticipates future growth

Public transit should connect residents to the places they depend on including schools, employment, healthcare, shopping, recreation and community services.

Infrastructure is not simply about building new things. It is also about maintaining what we already have.
